Make a ton of gold while leveling:

It is really important to figure out how to get gold quickly as it is the best way to speed up your gameplay. With ample gold, you will be able to buy the things you need to enhance your in game experiences. And this will allow you to level up faster.
I am going to share a few of the things I’ve found out about rift as to how to gain lots of gold to speed your character leveling.  A mount is crucial as it increases your movement speed. You will complete everything faster, making your rift gameplay much more fun and cutting your traveling time down tremendously.

Quick Tips:

Buy bigger bags in order to carry more items so that you don’t have to keep going back to a vendor as much.
Go to Eliam’s Field (coordinate [6493, 4846]- defiant area) to make fast cash when first starting out and while your still at low levels. At level 10 start grinding here. There are a lot of boars that you can kill with little effort.  Many will drop Tough Sinews that you can sell for at least a gold each so with enough of them you can get an awesome cash flow. Do the Mutated Meat quest in this area too.  It’s a great weapons quest and will help you kill the boars much quicker.

Lastly, more critical advice:
If by level 15 you haven’t yet acquired a mount, begin a grind on Forest Stalkers/Strikers [6165, 5483], they can drop [Length of Spider Silk] worth 1 gold. They can be killed with no trouble and won’t take you long.
You will make loads of cash and level faster grinding these mobs. You will be able to purchase the stuff you need for you low level characters.

The quickest way to level your Mage to 50

Tired of constantly dying while trying to build your mage up? There is a better way.  See the spec tree in the image for quickest way to level. I used this to get to level 43 in just a few days.  I was able to solo every quest I encountered and pull groups of 3-4 mobs effortlessly.

Use these 3 Soul Trees:

• Elemental Summoner, Chloromancer, Warlock – 23
• Elemental Summoner – 32
• Chloromancer – 11

To start,  put 5 into earth elemental. Then move to chloromancer for the next 11 points. Your elemental can be healed now while he tanks. Soon you will be able to heal yourself.
Follow Elemental Summoner to greater summon.

Spend the points in warlock after this to increase your damage output.

This build will give you capability to pull multiple mobs and sit there spamming the macro:

suppressmacrofailures

/cast Withering Vine

/cast Life Leech

/cast Ignite

/cast Dark Touch

With one button press you will increase your damage over time.

In order to keep your minion alive, keep your buffs up and debuffs flowing.  The damage you inflict heals you and your pet.

Stats

Mages rely on Intelligence for mana and gain spell power equal to 50% of its total.

But, as far as importance goes Spell power, then intelligence, followed by wisdom and spell crit. Spell critical is last because its only 50% of a damage over time which isn’t very effective.
